Instead of staying in one place, your dog comes along for an active day with a Thumping Tails pet companion including socialization with other dogs, exercise, and outdoor time. Available in 3-hour and 6-hour options. Best suited for young to adult dogs who are friendly with other dogs and can handle extended activity. Car travel is required. Not recommended for senior dogs or dogs with aggression.

On-the-Go Day Care is exactly what the name suggests — your dog is out and active, not waiting in a room for the day to end. Here is what every outing includes:

Active outdoor time – Walks, exploration, and time outside in the fresh air. Your dog is moving, sniffing, and engaged not confined.
Socialization with other dogs – Your dog spends time with other friendly, compatible dogs in a supervised setting. Social skills get a workout alongside physical ones.
Exercise matched to your dog’s energy – We keep the activity level appropriate for your dog. High-energy dogs get the outlet they need. Dogs with a more moderate pace are not over-pushed.
Car travel as part of the experience – Getting from place to place is part of the day. Dogs who enjoy car rides often find this part of the adventure. Clients should be comfortable with their dog traveling in a car before booking.
Supervised throughout – A Thumping Tails pet companion is with your dog for the full duration of the outing. This is not drop-off day care — your dog is in someone’s active company the entire time.
Photo updates – You will receive updates during the day so you can see how your dog is doing while you are at work or getting things done.

This service is designed for young to adult dogs who are friendly with other dogs and can handle extended activity. It is the right choice for high-energy breeds, social dogs who thrive around other animals, and owners whose dogs need more than a standard walk can provide.
 
It is not recommended for senior dogs, who are better suited to gentler, lower-impact care options, or for dogs with any history of aggression toward other dogs or people.

On-the-Go Day Care is not for every dog and that is by design. We keep groups small and activity well-managed, which means the dogs in each outing need to be a genuine fit for the experience.

High-energy breeds – Labs, retrievers, shepherds, huskies, and other working or sporting breeds who need more exercise than a standard walk provides. A 6-hour day out can make a real difference in how these dogs feel and behave at home.
Social, dog-friendly dogs – Dogs who light up around other dogs and genuinely enjoy canine company. On-the-Go Day Care gives them the peer interaction that solo walks cannot.
Young adult dogs with excess energy – Dogs between roughly one and five years old who are past the puppy chaos but still have a lot of energy to burn. A well-exercised young dog is a calmer, better-behaved dog at home.
Dogs whose owners have long days away – If you are regularly away from home for 8 to 10 hours, a 6-hour day care outing a few times a week means your dog spends significantly less of that time alone.
