Thumping Tails is a great service. We have two dogs, one special needs and the other one very shy. The people from Thumping Tails were great with both, providing us with photos after every visit and letting us know both dogs were happy and safe. Very bad experience. Someone came to meet my dogs, but it wasn’t the same person who would actually walk them. We agreed on recurring walks and that all the necessary info would be uploaded to the website, this never happened. Instead, a person I had never met before opened the door of my house and came inside. I was never informed who would come, at what time, or even given a simple SMS confirmation (also important for safety).
When I explained what happened, they dismissed it as a “miscommunication” "I've done what you told me" and told me I should be clearer about my needs next time. Completely irresponsible and unprofessional. I’m relieved I didn’t leave my dogs with them, if this is how they handle organization, I don’t want to imagine what could happen during the actual walks, and how little responsibility they would take if something went wrong.

Michael and his team are, by a landslide, the best pet care organization I’ve ever worked with, in Westchester or New York City. Their people are kind and easy going- my dog loves getting walked but the team. But most importantly their flexibility and transparency make them so easy to work with. The fact that they can do walks ad-hoc without silly commitments is critical to my work schedule, and everyone clearly takes the time to read the instructions I laid out; I know that my dog is in good hands anytime they take care of him. Plus their app makes it so easy and simple- I love getting the GPS-based reports of the walks. I know never have to worry about my pup when he’s in their hands.

I like that you can pick the time you want your dog walked. I also like that the staff is punctual and notify you if they’re running a few minutes behind. I have Vanessa as my dog walker. She is very gentle and patient with Teddy who is a senior and blind. She sends pictures and updates of him. Even told me when he had vomiting and diarrhea.
And if Teddy doesn’t feel like walking much she spends the rest of the time cuddling ☺️
Michael is also great!!!! I recently had a last minute emergency and had to cancel and he didn’t charge me. He’s very understanding and always willing to help.

When I moved out of the city with my two rescue dogs Neptune and Yuri, I had never left them with anyone besides family. Thumping Tails made me feel comfortable and confident with their care right away. Neptune and Yuri are incredibly anxious and struggle to warm up, but Felipe was so incredibly patient with them and is a great communicator. I love getting his updates and photos after each walk! I have two cats who are very shy around strangers. One big exception, they love the people from Thumping Tails. They get petted, fed, litter scooped, talked to and get their pictures taken. It makes me feel good to get the photos to see they are doing well but just a wee bit jealous at how much my cats seem to love them! When i get home, i get the “oh it’s you, you’re back” look. I am beyond satisfied with the level of service we get from Thumping Tails. I know my cats are in good hands and being well taken care of.

I absolutely love Thumping Tails! Mike and all of the walkers are incredible with my 2 year old Bernese, Teddy! As a first time dog mom, I was so nervous to let anyone walk her. After meeting Mike, I felt a lot better! Ever since, I’ve been using thumping tails any time I need a walk. They are so accommodating, the walkers are all so sweet and I truly feel like they love my dog! They also always send the best pictures of her, update me on how the walk went, show how far they walked, and tell me when she gets a treat & fresh water!! ♥️ there was one time in particular where Teddy had a tiny drop of blood on her paw. They called me immediately. When I got home later it turned out to just be from her first heat that had just started. But knowing all of the walkers care so much and contact when necessary is the best feeling in the world! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!!

WOW! Thumping Tails (including Michael the owner, and the incredible walkers we worked with - Angie & Rafael) went above and beyond to help our anxious and fearful rescue dog, Ghost, gain confidence and trust! Given Ghost's circumstances, and my own anxieties, the team provided various meet and greets, and we worked together over the course of a few weeks, step-by-step, to help Ghost become comfortable and build trust with the walkers. The team took incredible care of Ghost when we went away on two back to back vacations, and they handled everything (medicine, feeding, walks, and treats) perfectly, providing pictures and written updates via the business app. They even took care of our chinchilla! Another great thing about the app, and tremendous response and communication cadence with the team, is that I was able to place a neurotic amount of specific notes and follow up thoughts to everyone involved - which they completely followed. Will absolutely use them again for vacation coverage, as well as periodic walks when we're tied up. Thank you!

I was so impressed with Thumping Tails. They were recommended by our vet and they lived up to their reputation! My husband and I loved the photos and notes from each of the visits. I think that’s so valuable - it gave us peace of mind.

My boyfriend and I used Thumping Tails for catsitting visits over Christmas. We were pleased with the service and thought the rates were very reasonable, especially compared to other companies. The sitters were communicative and on time each day, and we received photos and updates with each visit. We really treat our cat like a member of our family and are always a bit nervous to leave him in new hands when we travel, but it gave us peace of mind to know that he was being well taken care of.
